Looking to restructure its supply chains, Apple is looking to move production of some of its products to assembly lines in Taiwan to diversify its production risks after the coronavirus outbreak. The restructuring of production is reportedly for a new-generation iPad, Apple Watch, iMac and the AirPods Pro Lite. Although the other products are due for new versions, Apple released its widely popular AirPods Pro not too long ago.
The reports go on to speculate that the rumored Lite earphones could be lower price point take on the AirPods Pro. Possibly without the noise-cancelation to phase out the original AirPods or offer consumers something in between in terms of price point.
